By doing so, France became the 20th of the 26 NATO members to ratify the Protocol, following Hungary, Latvia, the United States of America, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Bulgaria, Slovakia, Turkey, Norway, Denmark, Spain, Estonia, the Czech Republic, Italy, and the UK, Canada, Germany, and Belgium.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration considers France’s ratification an important step forward in the overall process of Croatia’s NATO accession, firmly believing that Croatia has proven its dedication to and credibility in contributing to the security of the Euro-Atlantic space.
