In that regard, Minister Jandroković welcomed yesterday’s meeting of the Mixed Croatia-Montenegro Commission for the preparation of the legal procedure for drawing the sea border between Croatia and Montenegro before the International Court of Justice at The Hague. He pointed out that this act proves both sides’ resolution to continue solving all of the bilateral issues in the European spirit of dialogue and understanding.
As a new step in building even stronger and more intensive relations between the two countries, the ministers signed the Agreement between the Republic of Croatia and Montenegro on the Protection of the Croatian Minority in Montenegro and the Montenegrin Minority in the Republic of Croatia. Both sides expressed satisfaction with the document that will ensure the realisation of all minority rights.
In his speech to the domestic and foreign media, Minister Jandroković pointed out that Croatia and Montenegro share the same strategic goal: the strengthening of peace, stability and development of the region of South Eastern Europe. “Croatia, therefore, welcomes Montenegro’s applying for the EU candidate status, as well as its accession to full-fledged membership of the US-Adriatic Charter”, said Minister Jandroković.
As regards the bilateral economic relations, the ministers expressed satisfaction with their current state, emphasizing the possibility of their further development.
