MFAEI handed protest note to Serbian Ambassador Radivoj Cvetićanin

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration invited 23 December 2008 the Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to the Republic of Croatia, Radivoj Cvetićanin, in order to hand him a protest note regarding repeated changes to the Serbian Government’s Decree on Protecting Property Parts of Companies Headquartered on the Former SFRY Territory

Apart from recalling another protest from 24 July 2008 over the previous changes to the Decree, the Ministry once again pointed out the unacceptability of adopting the regulations which, after the signing and coming into force of the Succession Agreement, prevent its implementation, especially its Annex C.

The Serbian side was invited, awaiting a solution to the property issues between Croatia and Serbia on a bilateral basis, based on the principles from the Succession Agreement, to refrain from actions that hinder its final solution.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration requested an immediate cancelling of the implementation of said Decree on the Amendments to the Decree on Protecting Property Parts of Companies Headquartered on the Former SFRY Territory.
