Bulgarian President Georgi Parvanov presented Croatian Ambassador Dražen Vukov Colić with highest state honour

President Parvanov pointed out Ambassador Vukov Colić’s contribution to the intensification of the highest-level political contacts between Bulgaria and Croatia

Pointing out Ambassador Vukov Colić’s contribution to the intensification of the highest-level political contacts between Bulgaria and Croatia, President Parvanov said that the past few years saw the realization of numerous contacts between the two countries’ executive authority officials, while the friendly bilateral relations have reached, in his words, a strategic level of importance for Bulgaria.

President Parvanov expressed satisfaction with the development of the two countries’ economic relations as well. Finally, he emphasized Bulgaria’s continuous support for Croatia on its way to the Euro-Atlantic integration.

Ambassador Vukov Colić expressed gratitude for the honour, as well as for the support Bulgaria is extending Croatia on its path towards the EU and NATO membership, saying that both countries have proven with their activities and bilateral relations development to be an elemental part of the European space, as well as the pillars of stability in the region of South Eastern Europe. He also thanked for the support the Bulgarian officials and state institutions had been offering the Croatian Embassy in Sofia and him personally in organizing cultural, economic and other events, which greatly facilitated the richening of the overall cooperation.
