Minister Gordan Jandroković participated in CEI Summit, Moldova

In his speech, Minister Jandroković pointed out that the CEI is currently experiencing a dynamic implementation of the main regional cooperation goals, singling out the development of good-neighbourly relations, political and economic cooperation, democratic society development, and cultural exchange.

He noted that Croatia is entering the last cycle of the EU membership negotiations, expressing satisfaction with the latest European Commission’s Progress Report, which commended Croatia’s progress and defined a framework timetable for the completion of the negotiations by end-2009. He expressed his firm belief that the success of Croatia’s negotiations will have a significant effect on all of the region’s countries that wish to follow the European standards.

As regards regional cooperation, Minister Jandroković pointed out Croatia’s dedication to the continuous enhancement of the bilateral relations with the countries in the region and the continuing participation in all of the regional initiatives.

“In that context, Croatia wishes to be a constructive partner and share its experiences in the EU accession process with the CEI members, whereby the exchange of positive experiences should remain the main goal of the CEI”, concluded Minister Jandroković.
