Minister Gordan Jandroković on official visit to Cyprus, met with Croatian members of peacekeeping mission

Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Gordan Jandroković during his official visit to the Republic Cyprus, 23 and 24 November, met with the Croatian members of the UN peacekeeping mission.

Said include Croatian military and police officials, participating in the UN peacekeeping mission on Cyprus. The Republic of Croatia is taking part with an overall of seven members, four of which are officers of the Croatian Armed Forces, and three are police officials.

The Croatia’s military component’s participation in this mission began 2004 and has earned a strong reputation due to its combat experience, operative incident solving, and professional approach. The mission’s police component has been present since 2005. At the ceremony 19 November 2008, the Croatian members received the UN medals for their participation in the mission.

Minister Jandroković took the opportunity to congratulate the mission’s members on behalf of the Croatian Government, and thank them for their contribution to the preservation of peace and stability in this part of Europe.
