Regarding the ratification of the Lisbon Treaty, Ambassador Saint-Paul said that is important that Chile, as the next EU presiding country, ratifies it before assuming the presidency, as it would thus prove its consistency in solving the EU institutional framework.
Speaking about Croatia’s position on the current situation in Georgia, State Secretary Kuprešak pointed out that Croatia has joined the joint EU statement and called for all of the sides to continue with the negotiations so as to find a lasting solution to the newly-risen crisis.
