Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Gordan Jandroković received 21 July 2008 on a farewell visit the Ambassador of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to the Republic of Croatia, Sir John Ramsden
Minister Jandroković and Ambassador Ramsden agreed that the high level of co-operation that has been achieved is a cause for satisfaction, pointing out that the good relations were additionally confirmed during the recent meeting between the Croatian and British prime ministers, which saw the presentation of the document on the continuation of the Strategic Partnership between Croatia and Great Britain.
The collocutors expressed a wish for further strengthening of the bilateral co-operation and reviewed the state of affairs in the region, emphasizing Croatia’s positive role in the stability-strengthening processes in South Eastern Europe.
Minister Jandroković said that Croatia greatly appreciates the United Kingdom’s continuous support and assistance in the processes of its EU and NATO accession, noting Ambassador Ramsden’s prominent role and thanking him for his personal dedication during his ambassadorial mandate in Croatia.
