State Secretary for European Integration Željko Kuprešak met 12 May 2008 in Zagreb wit the delegation of the Joint European Integration Committee of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina
Both sides expressed a wish for further development of the intense and comprehensive relations between Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, in the spirit of good-neighbourliness, friendship, and a joint European future. State Secretary Kuprešak informed the delegation about the course of Croatia’s EU accession, with a special emphasis on the process of harmonising the Croatian legislature with the
acquis. He also noted Croatia’s experience in the implementation of the Stabilisation and Association Agreement, as well as the progress of the EU membership negotiations. He supported the reform processes in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as the strengthening of state institutions aimed at joining the EU and NATO, pointing out Croatia’s continuous assistance in that regard.
The meeting also discussed regional co-operation, namely within the context of preparations for the EU membership. State Secretary Kuprešak emphasized that regional co-operation, security, and long-term stability are among Croatia’s main foreign policy goals.
