President Bush’s visit comes at a time of highly-developed and comprehensive relations between the two countries in the political, economic and security sense. It is a confirmation of the important position and role Croatia has on the international scene as a country firmly oriented towards the EU and NATO membership, a UN Security Council member, and an essential factor in ensuring a lasting peace, stability and co-operation in Central and South Eastern Europe.
The Ministry is convinced that the visit by President Bush will have an important inciting effect in further speeding up the realisation of the Croatian state policy’s priority goals, namely in the current international circumstances in which Croatia too is making its contribution to the strengthening of co-operation and political dialogue in this part of Europe and the world.
