Minister Jandroković met with members of BH Presidency, High Representative Lajčak, Foreign Minister Alkalaj; visited BH Parliamentary Assembly

Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Gordan Jandroković, during his first longer official visit, to Bosnia and Herzegovina from 12 to 14 February, met with Chairman of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Presidency Željko Komšić and its members, High Representative Miroslav Lajčak, Foreign Minister Sven Alkalaj, and visited the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina

During the meeting with Minister Alkalaj and other officials, Minister Jandroković expressed interest for the further comprehensive development of relations with Bosnia and Herzegovina, based on the principles of friendship and good-neighbourliness. Minister Jandroković pointed out that Croatia supports the two countries’ close co-operation in approaching the EU and NATO, and will through the transfer of its experience continue to support Bosnia and Herzegovina on its path towards the Euro-Atlantic integration, adding that the newly-founded Regional Co-operation Council should contribute to that, whose activities, apart from co-operation among countries in the region, will also be directed at their quicker integration into the EU and NATO.

During the meeting with High Representative Lajčak, Minister Jandroković said that Croatia supports his contribution, as well as the efforts of the international community, to speed up the reform processes in Bosnia and Herzegovina and strengthen its state institutions. Minister Jandroković also expressed hope that the conditions for signing the Stabilisation and Association agreement will be met soon.

As a part of his visit, Minister Jandroković also met with Cardinal Msgr. Vinko Puljić and the representatives of Croats, with who he talked about their position in Bosnia and Herzegovina. He also visited the Croatian Cultural Society Napredak (Progress).

Minister Jandroković will next visit Mostar, where he will visit the university campus and the clinical hospital. Before returning to Croatia, Minister Jandroković will meet in Banja Luka with its Bishop Msgr. Franjo Komarica.
