State Secretary for Political Affairs Bianca Matković received on 7 February 2008 the Director of the MARRI Initiative’s Regional Center, Trpe Stojanovski
State Secretary Matković expressed support for the further activities of the Migration, Asylum, Refugees Regional Initiative (MARRI), as well as its Regional Center in Skopje. Emphasizing the importance of regional co-operation in establishing peace, stability and economic development, State Secretary Matković pointed out that Croatia is transferring its experience in the EU and NATO membership negotiations through various forums and initiatives, such as MARRI, to other countries.
Director Stojanovski commended Croatia’s engagement during its presidency, to end in April 2008 by holding a Regional Forum, stressing that it was mostly thanks to Croatia’s presidency that MARRI has grown into a regional forum based on the concept of regional ownership. He also thanked for the political and expert support for the Initiative’s activities.
