At the 94th session of the Council of the International Organisation for Migration (IOM), held on 30 November 2007 at the UN Palace in Geneva, the Republic of Croatia was elected a member of its Executive Committee for the 2008/2009 period
The Republic of Croatia, a member of the IOM since November 1993, has thus for the second time since the 2002/2003 period been elected a member of the Executive Committee of the leading international organisation for migration, founded in 1951.
The activities of the IOM, which numbers 122 member countries, take the form of implementing the 1600 projects, realised through the activities of the 354 Missions and Offices throughout the world.
Today’s re-election to membership confirms the successful co-operation during the past years.
