As a part of Croatia's promotion during the current Portuguese EU presidency, a poster exhibition entitled Europe 2020 - Making the Future Together was opened on 12 November 2007 at the Jacques Delors European Information Centre in Lisbon, the Portuguese Republic
The exhibition, organised by the Croatian Embassy and the Jacques Delors European Information Centre, contains 40 works by artists from all over Europe, in which they symbolically present their vision of the joint European future in 2020. Before opening in Lisbon, the exhibition was shown in 15 or so other European countries.
Opening speeches were held by Carlos Medeiros from EIC Jacques Delors and Croatian Ambassador to Portugal Željko Vukosav. The important aspects of Croatia’s EU accession were also presented to the Portuguese public, with Director of MFAEI Diplomatic Academy Mladen Andrlić holding a presentation entitled Croatia on its Path towards the EU.
The opening saw the presence of persons from Portugal’s public life, the diplomatic corps and Croatians living in Lisbon. The exhibition will remain open until 26 November 2007.
