Minister Grabar-Kitarović met with Deputy Assistant Secretary in State Department’s European and Eurasian Affairs Bureau Rosemary DiCarlo

Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović met on 13 October 2007 in Split, on the margins of the “Adriatic-Baltic-Atlantic” ministerial meeting, with the Deputy Assistant Secretary in the US State Department’s Bureau for European and Eurasian Affairs, Rosemary DiCarlo

The meeting exchanged opinions about the current situation in South Eastern Europe, with a special emphasis on the progress of the negotiations on the Kosovo status, pointing out the need for a moderate and balanced approach to it. The meeting also exchanged opinions about the current political situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Part of the meeting concerned the co-operation between Croatia and NATO, describing it as high-quality and substantial, with a perspective for further strengthening.

Minister Grabar-Kitarović informed Ms. DiCarlo about Croatia’s relations with the ICTY, communicating Croatia’s position on its recent verdict on the three persons charged with war crimes in Vukovar. In that regard, Minister Grabar-Kitarović reported on the planned activities of the Croatian Prime Minister and his speech before the UN General Assembly.
