As a part of the consultations with the relevant international partner organisations, appointed RCC Secretary General Biščević and SP Special Co-ordinator Busek met on 21 September 2007 in Brussels with NATO Deputy Secretary General Alessandro Minuto Rizzo. The meeting saw the exchange of opinions about the continuation and possible further expansion of co-operation between the RCC and NATO, with a special emphasis on the activities of RACVIAC, as well as the setting up of efficient regional mechanism for dealing with and prevention of natural disasters. A meeting was also held with the World Bank’s Special Representative for South Eastern Europe, Sandra Bloemenkamp, which reviewed the possibilities and modalities of establishing active co-operation between the RCC and World Bank, namely in project financing and financial support for RCC activities.
