State Secretary Hido Biščević held political consultation with Secretary General of MFA of Sultanate of Oman Al Bu Said

The meeting confirmed a growing tendency in bilateral relations with a mutual desire for even greater intensifying of contacts on all levels.

Secretary General Sayyid Badr bin Hamad bin Hamood Al Bu Said pointed out that the Sultanate of Oman supports the Republic of Croatia on its path to the EU and NATO. He particularly stressed the significance of actions of the Republic of Croatia within the framework of the UN and Croatia's candidacy for elected membership in the UN Security Council.

State Secretary Biščević informed the Secretary General about Croatia's strategic objectives of accession to the EU and NATO and regional cooperation within the framework of the South East Europe Cooperation Process (SEECP) and CEFTA.

After the meeting with State Secretary Biščević Secretary General Al Bu Said held a lecture at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration on the subject “Knowledge, Tradition and Development: Omani Perspective on the Middle East.“
