Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović and Australian Ambassador to Croatia Tracy Reid signed on 10 July 2007 at the MFAEI the Memorandum of Understanding between the Government of the Republic of Croatia and the Government of Australia on the Employment of Diplomatic and Consular Staff’s Family Members
The Memorandum enables, exceptional to the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations and Vienna Convention on Consular Relations, the family members of diplomatic and consular staff to engage in income-garnering activities in the recipient country under certain conditions.
Minister Grabar-Kitarović expressed her satisfaction with the completion of the negotiations on and the harmonisation of the Memorandum’s content to mutual advantage, which further confirms the close co-operation, as well as good and friendly relations between the Republic of Croatia and Australia.
