Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović received on Wednesday, 27 June 2007, Ambassador of Malaysia to the Republic of Croatia Dato’Azman Mohd Nazir and Ambassador of the Kingdom of Belgium to the Republic of Croatia Marie Johane-Roccas for their farewell visits
Minister Grabar-Kitarović and the first Resident Ambassador of Malaysia to the Republic of Croatia Nazir confirmed good and friendly relations without any open issues between the two countries, as well as good cooperation on a multilateral level. Both sides expressed interest in the realisation of open opportunities and perspectives for further relations improvement, which should be facilitated by the agreements that the Republic of Croatia and Malaysia are considering in the fields of maritime transport, agriculture, tourism, culture, education and science.
Minister Grabar-Kitarović thanked Ambassador Nazir for his contribution and active engagement during his mandate to the Republic of Croatia.
In the talk with Ambassador Roccas, both Minister and the Ambassador expressed very good and friendly relations without any open issues between the Republic of Croatia and the Kingdom of Belgium. Minister Grabar-Kitarović expressed appreciation to the Belgium side for the support given to the Republic of Croatia during the EU accession negotiations process, as well as for the support to the principle of assessment on the basis individual accomplishments of candidate countries. She also thanked Ambassador Roccas for her contribution and wished her much success in her future work.
