State Secretary for Organisation, Development and Management Željko Kuprešak received on 4 June 2007 the State Secretary at the Italian Republic’s Ministry of International Trade and European Affairs, Miloš Budin

State Secretary Kuprešak and State Secretary Budin discussed the bilateral economic relations, mutually describing them as excellent.

State Secretary Kuprešak pointed out that the Italian Republic is one of Croatia’s most prominent trade partners, while the bilateral co-operation is present in numerous other areas of economy as well.

State Secretary Budin communicated the Italian side’s wish for a continuation of the co-operation in economy, adding that the Croatian-Italian co-operation in South-Eastern Europe is of great importance for a wider area of Europe as well. He stated the Italian Government’s support for Croatia’s EU accession process. State Secretary Kuprešak noted that the national consensus was reached on the issue of Croatia’s accession to the Euro-Atlantic integration, a process which contributes to the stability of the region, as well as the economic relations among the region’s countries.
