State Secretary for European Integration Marija Pejčinović Burić received on 31 May 2007 the representatives of the CDU/CSU Parliamentary Club’s Niedersachsen Regional Group, led by Enak Ferlemann, Chairman of the Parliamentary Club’s Regional Group
State Secretary Pejčinović Burić thanked Germany for its overall support for Croatia in its process of EU integration, especially in light of Germany’s current EU presidency. Both sides expressed satisfaction with the good bilateral relations between the two countries, which are with no open issues. Frequent high-level visit exchange is a testimony to the high level of the overall relations. The two sides exchanged opinions about Croatia’s EU accession process.
The German side confirmed the support of the Federal Republic of Germany for Croatia’s efforts in acceding to the Euro-Atlantic integration. The German parliamentarians expressed additional interest for the bilateral relations between Croatia and Niedersachsen to strengthen and deepen in all areas, especially in political and economic co-operation.
