Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović received on 30 May 2007 the Speaker of the Parliament of the Federal Republic of Germany, Norbert Lammert, who is on an official visit to Croatia
The two confirmed the existence of good bilateral relations with no open issues between the Federal Republic of Germany and the Republic of Croatia, as evidenced by the scope of the bilateral agreements signed and the dynamic of the high-level visit exchange. Both sides expressed satisfaction with the two countries’ parliamentary co-operation.
Minister Grabar-Kitarović thanked for the support Germany is offering Croatia in its process of EU accession, as well as the concrete assistance in said process during Germany’s EU presidency. The Republic of Croatia is generally pleased with the course of the negotiations and is in regards to the negotiating capacities ready to further speed them up, said Minister Grabar-Kitarović.
