State Secretary Željko Kuprešak opened in Dubrovnik international conference titled “CEI Dubrovnik Diplomatic Forum, Lifelong Learning and Diplomacy“

The international conference The CEI Dubrovnik Diplomatic Forum, “Lifelong Learning and Diplomacy“ is organized by the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, in cooperation with the Central European Initiative.

After the introductory address of State Secretary Kuprešak, presentations were given by the Croatian Ambassador to the Republic of Montenegro Petar Turcinovic, Croatian Ambassador to the Kingdom of Sweden Svjetlan Berkovic, and CEI Director General Harald Kreid. The conference is also attended by diplomats and representatives of the ministries of foreign affairs and other government institutions, as well as participants from the Central European Initiative member countries.

This four-day conference focuses on the importance of modern trends in diplomacy, current changes in programmes of diplomatic education and specialization at the ministries of foreign affairs and on the importance of e-learning in diplomacy. Lecturers, who come from Croatia and from abroad, are prominent diplomats, officials and experts in the field of professional development of diplomats and civil servants.
