As a part of the European Week, State Secretary for European Integration Marija Pejčinović Burić held a lecture entitled “Croatia’s Road to EU – Membership Negotiations” on 8 May 2007 at the Europe House in Slavonski Brod
State Secretary Pejčinović Burić held a lecture to the participants of the session of the National Union of Youth Parliaments and the public forum “Youth Participation in EU” about Croatia’s road to the EU. Presenting the course of the screening process and the opening of the negotiations for each chapter, the State Secretary explained the structure of the Croatian negotiating team. She also spoke to the young parliamentarians about the progress and dynamics of Croatia’s negotiations with the EU, as well as the current state of the negotiations and the activities to come in the period after their completion.
A lecture on the topic of the EU policy towards youth in the UK and Croatia’s EU accession from the European Commissions’ perspective was held by the representatives of the UK Embassy and the EC Delegation to Croatia.
