Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović met on Thursday, 26 April 2007 in Dubrovnik, with State Secretary at the Office of the Committee for European Integration of the Republic of Poland Ewa Ośniecka-Tamecka
Minister Grabar-Kitarović informed State Secretary Ośniecka-Tamecka on the status of the Accession negotiations of the Republic of Croatia for EU membership. Minister and State Secretary exchanged opinions on current European issues and policies with a special emphasis on the European Constitutional Treaty. State Secretary Ośniecka-Tamecka once again offered support of the Republic of Poland to Croatia's full membership in the European Union and said that the Republic of Poland considers that the failure to adopt the Constitutional Treaty should not be an institutional obstruction to Croatia's full membership in the European Union.
In the context of strengthening the cooperation between the Republic of Croatia and the Republic of Poland in the field of exchanging and transferring experience on European integration issues, the Polish side declared readiness to offer specific suggestions for future cooperation with a goal to carry out the Polish-Croatian action plan for the promotion of integration of the Republic of Croatian into the European Union.
State Secretary for European Integration Marija Pejčinović Burić also met with State Secretary at the Office of the Committee for European Integration of the Republic of Poland Ewa Ośniecka-Tamecka.
