The goal of the Forum was to discuss all the critical and current issues in the field of energy. Three main topics were discussed: energy security of Europe, energy projects of the countries members of SEECP, and possibilities for investments in the energy industry, which was also talked about by representatives of banks and other financial institutions and energy companies.
The Ministerial Declaration on pan-European Oil Pipeline – PEOP was also signed during the Forum. The Declaration was signed by the Minister for Economy, Labour and Entrepreneurship Branko Vukelić on behalf of the Republic of Croatia, State Secretary at the Ministry of Economic Development Alfonso Gianni on behalf of the Italian Republic, Minister for Economy and Trade Varujan Vosganian on behalf of Romania, Minister for Mining and Energy Radomir Naumov on behalf of the Republic of Serbia, Minister of Economy Andrej Vizjak on behalf of the Republic of Slovenia and the European Commissioner for Energy Andris Piebalgs.
PEOP is the project of supplying the European market with oil from the Caspian region, from the Romanian port of Constanza on the Black Sea to the oil pipeline TAL (Trans Alpine Line) near Trieste.
