State Secretary for Political Affairs Hido Biščević received to inaugural visit Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran Mohammad Hassan Fadaifard

During the meeting, bilateral relationships between the Republic of Croatia and the Islamic Republic of Iran were discussed, with particular emphasis put on cultural and economic collaboration. The announcement of Iranian miniature art exhibition was especially highlighted. The conversation also focused on furthering economic and parliamentary collaboration between the countries. A possible intensification in this area was announced.

State Secretary Biščević put particular emphasis on the importance of continuing a constructive political dialogue on the most sensitive issues in international relationships, including Iranian nuclear programme, and said the proclaimed readiness of Teheran to re-engage in the political dialogue with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) was encouraging
