Protection of human rights in the Republic of Croatia is based on up to date international standards, encompassing the basic human rights principles such as the principle of non-discrimination, the interdependence and indivisibility of all human rights. Accordingly, the enjoyment of civil and political as well as social, cultural and economic rights is ensured for all persons, regardless of race, skin colour, nationality, gender, sexual orientation, language, religion, political or other views, social background, income, education, social status, age, health and the alike.
Because of the fact that diverse forms of discrimination prevent numerous individuals from fully enjoying human rights, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of the Republic of Croatia invites to prevent all forms of discrimination and reinforce the implementation of adopted international agreements in this region. On this occasion, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of the Republic of Croatia wishes to underline that the Republic of Croatia, as a member of the international community, shall continue to participate in all activities focused on further development of instruments and mechanisms for protection and promotion of human rights, which are the fundamental values of the modern world.
