Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of the Republic of Croatia joins in observing December 3 as International Day of Disabled Persons

On this occasion, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration would like to express its support to the forthcoming adoption of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities at the UN General Assembly. The Convention is a result of continuing activities of persons with disabilities in their communities, but also their activities on the global level, with the aim of acknowledging the needs of this important group in our society.

The politics towards the persons with disabilities in the Republic of Croatia is based on contemporary international standards, including basic human rights principles, principles of non-discrimination and principles of interdependence and indivisibility of all human rights which requires availability and efficiency of civil, political, social, cultural and economic rights for persons with disabilities.
