State Secretary for European Integration at the MFAEI Marija Pejčinović Burić took part 23 May 2006 at the opening of the Center for European Perspective at the Jable Castle near Ljubljana, the Republic of Slovenia
In her speech, State Secretary Pejčinović Burić said that Croatia welcomes the opening of the Center that will promote the integration processes in the region and strengthen the regional co-operation. She added that Croatia, based on its achievements in acceding to the EU, intends to offer its experience in the EU accession to the countries going through the stabilisation and association process, and that it is willing to learn from other countries’ experience as well.
State Secretary Pejčinović Burić expressed her wish for the Center for European Perspective to become a center of sorts that will gather experts from all parts of Europe, which would contribute to a better understanding of the European Union in the region, as well as to the promotion of the knowledge about the South East Europe among the EU members.
