MFAEI expresses satisfaction over constitution of new Iraqi Government

The confirmation of the new Government is an important step in the building of a safe, democratic, prosperous, and integrated Iraq, to the wellbeing of all its citizens, and an important step in the stabilisation of the entire region.

The MFAEI especially welcomes the fact that the new Government includes representatives of all Iraq’s major ethnic and religious communities, which should ensure better chances of dealing with the challenges the country is facing, and the best foundation for its future. The Republic of Croatia wishes to congratulate Prime Minister al-Maliki and his Government, wish them success, and would like to use the opportunity to reiterate its wish for the strengthening and enhancement of the relations and co-operation between the two countries.
