State Secretary Pejčinović Burić met with newly-appointed secretary of Permanent Croatian-Bavarian Commission Michael Hinterdobler

State Secretary for European Integration at the MFAEI and Co-Chair of the Permanent Croatian-Bavarian Commission, Marija Pejčinović Burić, met 10 May 2006 with the Commission’s newly-appointed secretary, Ministerial Councillor at the Bavarian State Chancellery, Michael Hinterdobler

State Secretary Pejčinović Burić pointed out the importance of the Permanent Croatian-Bavarian Commission in promoting the partnership co-operation that confirms the longstanding ties between Croatia and Bavaria, and announced its intensive continuation with the aim of realising the Commission’s Action Program encompassing economy, tourism, agriculture and forestry, culture and science, education, transport, physical planning, environmental protection, justice, health care, state administration, public safety, and local self-government.

Ministerial Councillor Hinterdobler expressed the Bavarian side’s openness for the transfer and exchange of Bavarian experiences with the aim of realising Croatia’s full EU membership, which Bavaria supports wholeheartedly, and a full support to the realisation of the Commission’s Action Program in all segments of the co-operation, which is going on to mutual satisfaction. During its inaugural visit to Croatia, Hinterdobler also visited the Ministry of Culture, the Croatian Chamber of Commerce, and the Croatian Chamber of Trades and Crafts.
