State Secretary Biščević received newly-appointed Japanese Ambassador Shirakawa

State Secretary for Political Affairs at the MFAEI Hido Biščević received today, 6 March 2006, to the inaugural visit the newly-appointed Japanese Ambassador to Croatia Tetsuhisa Shirakawa, who handed the copies of his credentials

Both sides expressed satisfaction with the highly developed relations and co-operation between Croatia and Japan, both on the bilateral and multilateral level, pointed out the importance of the co-operation on the pending Rijeka port reconstruction project and mine clearance.

State Secretary Biščević informed Ambassador Shirakawa with Croatia’s activities as regards the Euro-Atlantic integration processes and with the situation in South East Europe, emphasizing that Croatia is ready to actively take part in the stabilisation of the region.
