Croatian Ambassador to Angola Želimir Brala handed credentials to President José Eduardo dos Santos

Croatian Ambassador to the Republic of Angola Želimir Brala handed on Friday, 24 February 2006, in Luanda, his credentials to Angolan President José Eduardo dos Santos, thereby officially assuming the duty of the Croatian ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary to the Republic of Angola, seated in Lisbon

Ambassador Brala communicated to President dos Santos cordial greetings by Croatian President Stjepan Mesić and the country’s top officials, as well as the presidents invitation to officially visit Croatia.

In a cordial and friendly talk, President dos Santos and Ambassador Brala pointed out the very good Croatian-Angolan relations, and reviewed the historical ties between the two countries.

President dos Santos stressed the importance of the first four years of peace for the overall reconstruction of Angola and considered the perspectives of co-operation between the two countries, especially in transport, and high-school and university education, as well as the possibility of the Croatian economy taking part in the reconstruction and building of the communications infrastructure.
