Minister Grabar-Kitarović received to inaugural visit newly-appointed Spanish ambassador

Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović received today, 20 January 2006, to inaugural visit the newly-appointed Ambassador of the Kingdom of Spain to the Republic of Croatia, Manuel Salazar Palma

Both expressed satisfaction with the very good relations between the two countries, hoping that the successful co-operation will continue.

Minister Grabar-Kitarović thanked once again for Spain’s support to Croatia’s start of the accession negotiations with the EU, expressing hope for its continuation during Croatia’s accession to the EU and NATO.

Reviewing Croatia’s achievements on its road to the EU, Ambassador Salazar Palma confirmed the Spanish Government’s readiness to offer expert and technical assistance to Croatia in that process. Ambassador Salazar Palma also said that the Spanish side is interested in a further improvement of the economic relations.
