Minister Grabar-Kitarović thanked for the support expressed so far and pointed out that Malta’s experiences in accession negotiations with the EU are more than welcome. The two agreed that the relations between Croatia and Malta are excellent, and expressed hope for a further strengthening of the economic co-operation.
In meeting with Irish Ambassador McCabe, Minister Grabar-Kitarović thanked him for Ireland’s assistance in Croatia’s process of acceding to the European integration, saying she hopes that the opening of the accession negotiations with the EU will further strengthen the co-operation between Croatia and Ireland. Ambassador McCabe offered Ireland’s help and experience in the EU ascension process.
In meeting with Iceland’s Ambassador Ólafur Davídsson, Minister Grabar-Kitarović pointed out that Iceland was the first country to recognise Croatia’s independence and that the two countries hold successful bilateral relations. The two agreed, however, that there is room for improvement in the filed of economic co-operation. Ambassador Davídsson expressed Iceland’s support to Croatia’s joining the EU and NATO as soon as possible.
