Croatian Ambassador to the Holy See Emilio Marin handed his credentials to Fra Andrew Bertie

Croatian Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Holy See, Emilio Marin, handed his credentials 5 October 2005 in Rome to the Prince and Grand Master of the Sovereign Order of Malta, Fra Andrew Bertie, thus officially assuming the duty of the Croatian Ambassador to the Sovereign Order of Malta

After the handing of the credentials, Fra Andrew Bertie sent his greetings to the Croatian President, the Prime Minister and the Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration. Expressing his wish for intensifying the co-operation with Croatia, he applauded the Croatian Government’s efforts in the field of economy and European integration, and said he believes Croatia will soon become an EU member.

Ambassador Marin said Croatian public is satisfied with the fact that the negotiations have been opened, and invited Fra Bertie to visit Croatia, which could take place May next year.
