State Secretary at the MFAEI Vera Varga received newly-appointed Moldovan Ambassador Valeriu Bobutac

State Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Vera Varga received today, 4 October 2005, the newly-appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Moldova to the Republic of Croatia, Valeriu Bobutac, who handed the copies of his credentials

In a friendly talk, State Secretary Varga and Ambassador Bobutac pointed out the very good relations between Croatia and Moldova, especially the exceptionally good friendship between Croatian President Stjepan Mesić and Moldovan President Vladimir Voronin.

The two agreed that the relations between Croatia and Moldova are constantly on the rise, but that there is room for improvement in the field of economy.

Ambassador Bobutac congratulated Croatia on the opening of the accession negotiations with the EU, saying he hopes Croatia’s experiences will prove of great value to Moldova. He also communicated President Voronin’s greetings and congratulations.
