Ambassador Baričević informed President Barroso about Croatia’s preparations for the start of the pre-accession negotiations with the EU, expressing his hope for their soon beginning.
President Barroso congratulated Ambassador Baričević, saying he is convinced the negotiations, once they start, will go smoothly. At the end of the meeting, Barroso asked Ambassador Baričević to relay his greetings to Croatian President Mesić and Prime Minister Sanader.
