The second Informal Meeting of South-East Europe's Ministers for European Affairs was held in Dubrovnik, from July 8 to 10, 2005, under the presidency of the Republic of Croatia Foreign Affairs and European Integration Minister Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović, and in the organisation of the Ministry
Except for the region's Ministers for European Affairs, their colleagues from particular European Union member countries also participated at the informal meeting. The meeting's main topics related to the progress which countries from the region were making in approaching the European Union, to the regional co-operation, and to communication within the South-East Europe presented to the European Union. The meeting's participants stressed the European prospects of the countries from South-East Europe, and confirmed the extreme efforts these countries were making in order to meet the required conditions for becoming EU member countries. South-East Europe's countries are undertaking difficult and necessary reforms of the legal system for the benefit of their citizens, meeting, at the same time, conditions for full membership.
Countries of the South-East Europe continue to co-operate and to exchange experiences in the process of joining the European Union, considering the fact that these countries see their futures within the EU.
The next Informal Meeting of South-East Europe's Ministers for European Affairs is to take place in Opatija in a year.
