State Secretary for Political Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Hido Biščević met today, 25 May 2005, Serbia and Montenegro ambassador in Zagreb Milan Simurdić
The two made a positive evaluation of the recently held bilateral foreign ministries consultations. They welcomed the intensifying of work of the commission for missing and captured persons, as well as the division of the former country's diplomatic assets. The impending expert meetings concerning the police and judiciary cooperation, that would deal with readmission and cooperation during the tourist season, were also confirmed.
Regarding the recent incidents in east Slavonija and the Zadar outback, State Secretary Biščević said an intense criminal investigation was being carried out, with the intent of finding and punishing the perpetrators. The two sides agreed that only timely and thorough investigation results could be relevant in interpreting these events.
