State Secretary Hido Biščević received to a farewell visit UNHCR High Commission representative Catherine Bertrand

High Commission representative Bertrand thanked for the cooperation during her mandate, and stressed the great progress Croatia has achieved regarding the refugees issue, specifically the fact that Croatia has moved from an aid recipient country to an important financial donator. Both sides agreed on the necessity to speed up the implementation of the Sarajevo declaration. Bertrand said she was still at Croatia’s disposal, concerning her years-long work experience in dealing with the problem of refugees. At the end of the meeting, Bertrand said she was pleased to end her active life in Croatia, which she intends to visit in the future.
