MFAEI’s response to the article in Jutarnji List

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration expresses its profound disagreement with the general idea of the article in Jutarnji List daily from 5 may 2005, entitled “Berlusconi’s government acts: Italians want to buy off houses in Istria

The MFAEI deems that such irresponsible, unfounded and tendentious interpretations of official talks between Croatian and Italian delegations, and especially the sensationalist accompanying content, hurt the positive atmosphere of the relations between the Republic of Croatia and the Italian Republic, as well as the continuation of the dynamic dialogue on relevant issues of mutual interest, such as the cultural co-operation, protection of the Adriatic and promotion of joint economic initiatives.

In regard to that, the MFAEI wishes to mention the joint press release from said meeting between the two delegations that fully reflects the atmosphere, the topics and the overall level of the relations between the two countries.
