Today, 24 March 2005, in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, a regular session was held of the Interstate Diplomatic Committee for Identification, Marking and
Maintenance of the state border between the Republic of Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina
The session fully adopted the Report on the activities of the Mixed Group of Experts for the documentation of the identification of the state border between the Republic of Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. The Interstate Diplomatic Committee verified the Description of the state border on TK-25 from TK 001 to TK 086 between the Republic of Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, survey – minutes on the localities and the document “Division of State Border into Sectors”.
The verified documents created the preconditions for the ratification of the Agreement on the State Border between the Republic of Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina by their respective parliaments, which ended the few years’ long state border harmonisation process.
The Interstate Diplomatic Committee also reviewed the functioning of the Neum II – Zaton Doli border crossing and agreed to start with the building of the border crossing on a mutual location in BH.
Reviewing the implementation of the Agreement between RC and BH on Border Traffic and Co-operation, the Interstate Diplomatic Committee pointed out the need for the Permanent Mixed Committee for the Implementation of the Agreement to start working as soon as possible.
