State secretary Bakota in Subotica at the marking of the 2nd anniversary of “Croatian Word” weekly

State secretary at the Croatian MFA Gordan Bakota spoke in Subotica, Serbia and Montenegro, on the commemoration of the 2nd anniversary of the “Croatian Word” weekly

State secretary Bakota congratulated the hosts on behalf of the Croatian Government the 2nd anniversary of the weekly’s publishing and expressed his hope that the Croatian minority in SMN, apart from publication, will be able to acquire information in Croatian through electronic media as well, especially though national television. Bakota promised the Croats in Vojvodina the Croatian Government’s support in this and other projects.

The present were also greeted by advisor to the Serbian prime minister Petar Lađević, chairman of the managing board of the “Croatian Word” publishing house Mate Groznica, and director and editor in chief Zvonimir Perušić.

The commemoration was held in the ceremonial hall of the assembly of the Subotica municipality and saw numerous distinguished guests and representatives of all Croatian institutions and organisations in SMN.
