Working group formed at the MFA for assistance and gathering information on Croatian citizens caught in the disaster-stricken areas in South Asia

Following the disastrous earthquake that struck the region of the Republic of India, Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, Republic of Indonesia and the Kingdom of Thailand, the MFA would like to inform that it is keeping close contact with Croatia’s embassies in New Delhi and Jakarta

Within the MFA, a working group was formed for gathering information, co-ordination and activities in finding out whether there are any Croatian citizens in those areas and providing them the necessary information so as to help them. The MFA is trying to gather information on the Croatian citizens there in all ways possible.

A hot line has been opened at the MFA, at numbers 4569964 or 098/404802, for all citizens with any information on Croatian citizens staying in said regions, so that we could though our embassies in India and Indonesia request a verification of these pieces of information.

The Ministry would also like to inform that an initiative has been launched to sent humanitarian aid from Croatia to the struck regions, especially India, Indonesia, Sri Lanka and Thailand.
