Foreign Affairs Minister Miomir Žužul met today, 9 December 2004, in Brussels with member of the European Commission, EU Commissioner for Enlargement Olli Rehn
Commissioner Rehn informed Minister Žužul about the preparations the European Commission is undertaking in developing a platform for the EU membership negotiations with Croatia. Žužul informed Rehn about Croatia’s preparations for the negotiations.
Pending the European Commission meeting in Brussels, Žužul and Rehn also discussed the possible dates for the start of the negotiations. Minister Žužul once again pointed out the Croatian government’s firm dedications to meeting the membership criteria, which Rehn welcomed.
