Croatian Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Austria, Zoran Jašić, handed his credentials to Austrian President Heinz Fischer

President Fischer pointed out the good co-operation between Croatia and Austria and promised to support Croatia on its road to EU membership. According to President Fischer, the Austrian Parliament will certainly be among the first to ratify Croatia’s Membership Treaty with the EU, when the time comes. President Fischer expressed his extremely favourable impressions from his recent visit to Croatia who Austria is linked with by traditional friendship and very good co-operation.

Ambassador Jašić thanked the Austrian President for the support Austria has been giving and still gives to Croatia, which is especially valuable now when Croatia is expecting the date for the start of the negotiations, and will continue to be so during the negotiations themselves and the preparations for the membership in the EU.
