State Secretary Biščević held a lecture and opened an exhibition at the Catholic University of Leuven, Belgium

State Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Hido Biščević held 10 November 2004 at the Catholic University of Leuven, Belgium, a lecture entitled “Croatia’s Integration into the EU and NATO: New Perspectives for the Region”

After the lecture, State Secretary Biščević talked with university staff and the students of political sciences and European studies about Croatia’s integration into the EU and NATO, and the new perspectives for the region. Biščević was introduced by State Secretary Mark Eyskens, Belgium’s former prime and foreign minister, and honorary president of the Croatian-Belgian Chamber of Commerce and Association for Cultural Co-operation.

State Secretary Biščević opened an exhibition at the university library in Leuven of the works of Stjepan Planić, one of Croatia’s most important 20th century architects. The exhibition was organised by the Zagreb Institute of Art History and Croatian Embassy to Belgium, and sponsored by the Croatian Ministry of Culture, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the City of Zagreb.
