Foreign Minister Miomir Žužul received today in Zagreb Deputy Director General at the Division for Europe and Eurasia of the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs Mark Sofer, who is heading the Israeli delegation on an official visit to Croatia
Minister Žužul and Deputy Director General Sofer agreed that Croatian-Israeli relations are very good and on the rise. A proof of this is the Israeli government’s decision to open an Israeli embassy in Zagreb.
According to Žužul and Sofer, the very good political relations between Croatia and Israel are not matched by economic relations, although the possibilities for economic co-operation are huge, but so far not sufficiently exploited. Both expressed their conviction that the opening of the Israeli embassy in Zagreb will contribute to the enhancement of the relations in all areas.
